The 2026 Tour de France is coming to Bergerac: experience the event from the Hameau du Jardin Fleuri!

Good news for cycling enthusiasts and lovers of the Dordogne: Bergerac will host the finish of a stage of the 2026 Tour de France!

This Stage 8 will take riders on a spectacular loop through the Dordogne, starting in Périgueux and showcasing picturesque villages, the Vézère Valley and some of the Périgord’s most iconic castles.

The Périgueux–Bergerac Stage

The stage will cover 182 kilometres through some of the most beautiful landscapes in southwestern France.

The Route: Villages and Castles

The race will start in Périgueux before passing through:

• Boulazac-Isle-Manoire (Boulazac and Sainte-Marie-de-Chignac)
• Saint-Pierre-de-Chignac
• Bassillac-et-Auberoche (Saint-Crépin)
• Fossemagne and Thenon

The riders will then head towards the Vézère Valley, passing through Montignac-Lascaux, Thonac, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, Peyzac-le-Moustier, Tursac and Les Eyzies.

A series of remarkable castles will line the route, including those of Beynac, Castels and Saint-Cyprien, which is expected to host an intermediate sprint.

The stage then continues through Siorac-en-Périgord, Le Buisson (including a Category 4 climb), Calès, Badefols-sur-Dordogne, Pontours, Lalinde and Port-de-Couze.

Finish in Bergerac

The riders will complete the stage via Saint-Capraise-de-Lalinde, Mouleydier and Creysse before reaching the finish line in Bergerac.
